A Little Misunderstood

Sometimes as an adult I forget that kids don't always know the meanings to commonly used phrases that WEREN'T meant to be taken LITERALLY!!! For example: Cut the cheese, Saw some logs, Don't push my buttons, I'm so hungry I could eat a horse, Slap me silly, or I feel fit as a fiddle. Okay these aren't great, but it was what I came up with last minute!

Anyway, anyone who knows me, knows that I can say some pretty weird phrases. Well earlier today, I went in to help Tayden on the potty (Yes, I still make sure he wipes all the way clean!!!) and I gave him the go-ahead to "flush that puppy down". I use the word "puppy" to refer to many things, in this case it was poop! He started to get panicked and said I don't want to flush him down! Now I am thinking "What in the crap?" Literally, CRAP, flush it down! But I looked down to see him holding a stuffed dog! So I quickly cleared that misunderstanding up! Good thing he doesn't listen to me ALL of the time or we would be having major plumbing issues!

Virginia Bound!!!

Well our trip to Virginia has come and gone! It was SO awesome! First of all, it was great for Bo and I to have a trip to ourselves, I know, I am still getting over the shock and we have been back for weeks!!! But the BEST part was getting to meet all of Bo's family that I have never met! They all welcomed us into their homes and their lives with no questions asked!!! Little did they know what they were getting into!!! Love is a crazy thing. Just when you think it comes from knowing someone for a long time and growing with them, you meet family for the first time and you INSTANTLY feel love for them! What an amazing gift that Heavenly Father blesses us with-the ability to love and be loved!

Thank you to all our Danville Family! We love you and wish we were a tad bit closer! Thank you for the laughs, the memories, and the food!!! I think I am still full!!! WE LOVE YOU!!! And the DVD is coming soon!

Time, Where have you GONE???

Okay, I know it. I SUCK!!! I really just don't know where the last month or 2 have gone. It is the 21st of October, I have no Halloween costumes lined up, I just got Ryker's "one year" photos done today-yah his birthday was on the 18th of SEPTEMBER, and to top it all off, I wrote out a check the other day and dated it 9-19-07 instead of 10-19-08! What is going on with me??? I really think I am getting old! So if I have dropped the ball on calling you when I should have, or just plain been a bad friend this year, I'm really sorry but apparently I am still living in 2007! I'll try to be better, in fact, I'll make it my New Year's resolution! That way I have a couple months to ease into it! Hope everybody is doing great.

Jeepin' in Providence Canyon

Our friend let us borrow his jeep! We had such an awesome time! It is such a beautiful canyon, but it being fall time just made it that much better! We found a great spot to really "test this baby out" as Bo put it! I screamed like a girl the whole time while Bo's inner child came out in his driving! Tayden loved it and told us we should get one! Yah, okay Tayden. We'll be using your allowance for the next 40years to pay for it!!! What a great day spent with the fam! It reminds me that Bo and I should take more moments to just do crazy stuff with the kids! It seems like life passes to fast lately!

We love Student Wards!!!

Bo is loving his calling at the Student Ward. This picture was taken at "Family Day" which Bo was in charge of. It was a HUGE success and I think we are all happy that it is over. We love being involved with the student ward. You get to be surrounded by the craziness of college students, their schedules, and the drama without having to live any of it yourself!!! All jokes aside, we really have come to love all of them. My favorite thing about the students are their testimonies! They have rock-solid testimonies and it just amazes me. Have I mentioned that we have a long, long list of FREE babysitters?!?! I guess it makes up for the late-might meetings!

My Sister a CARROLL!!!

My lovely sister got married last week! She married Conor Carroll. She is now officially Dayna Sue Carroll!!! It was awesome and she was more beautiful that I could have imagined! I wish them all the best in the world! Here are a few pics of the event!

Malia in Pictures!!!

Brandi tagged me with this, and I am glad she did! It was fun! Watch out Brandi, I WILL return the favor sometime soon!

MY NAME

Malia
This is an ancient palace called Malia in Crete. I always knew I was fit for a palace!

WHERE I WAS BORN

I was born in Layton, Utah at the Humana Hospital. It's gotten a name change over the years, but it will always be MY hospital and be called HUMANA to me!

FAVORITE COLOR

Red is it today. It always changes and depends on what I am talking about, but it has to be red for today! I love to wear red and some would say that is my personality!!! Go figure!

FAVORITE CITY

Logan is the best place on earth if you ask me. I came here to go to Utah State, I met Bo here, and we are lucky to be able to stay!!!

PLACE I WANT TO VISIT

Fiji, Fiji, Fiji! I have been saying it for 6 years now, and Bo still hasn't gotten the hint.

BAD HABIT

One of my worst habbits would have to be when I cut Bo off mid-sentence. I don't do it maliciously, I just get too excited that I want to guess the rest of it! At any rate, it drives him nuts!

FAVORITE ANIMAL

I am not a huge animal lover, despite Bo convincing me to get two dogs!!! My favorite animal of all time is BIG BLUE!!! Bo was the mascot for 3 years and the bull will be a part of our lives forever!

PAST LOVE

I used to like shopping for bathing suits. Then I had two kids. Now I don't.

FIRST JOB

My first job was at Kathleen's, a dress shop in Kaysville. I absolutely loved it and miss those ladies I worked with.

ANOTHER PLACE I WANT TO GO

I LOVE amusement parks and thrill rides! I would go to any one, any day!!!

MY CURRENT JOB

I am a mom! Simple enough, yet so, so demanding!!!

I tag HOLLI, MIQ, TARA, & STEPH STRAWN!!! Good Luck!

Love Serving Love

Tennis is our new addiction! We are learning together which I love, and it is really cheap, which Bo loves! Tayden is all over the sport, too, and he doesn't even get it! It has only taken us 6 years to find a sport that we want to do together and both suck at! So if any of you want to play doubles with us, let us know. It will be an easy win for you!

Minnetonka Cave with Abbey's

We had such a great time on Saturday with our good friends, Jared & Heather Abbey. We took a last-minute trip to the Minnetonka Cave up by Bear Lake. We topped the trip off with some awesome hamburgers and fries! Life should have more spontaneous moments like this!

July in Rewind!!!

Okay, since I just can't seem to keep up with the events that are going on in our lives! Maybe it is due to a crazy summer, or maybe I am just losing it (a very probable conclusion). We have had such a great summer, and July was jam-packed with many fun events. The fourth of July, Roommate and High School Friends Get-Togethers, Bear Lake, Pioneer Day, East Canyon, Working in the Yard, and Making Sno-Cones are just a few of the things that we Roundy Family Folk have enjoyed! Bo really enjoyed his trip to Atlanta, but that didn't make the list because I didn't enjoy having him gone!

We are so blessed! We are healthy, we are surrounded by loved ones, we know how to laugh at ourselves and make the best of small moments, and we have two WONDERFUL boys that really make us appreciate life in general. I just LOVE the month of July!!!

Bo and Ryker at K-Town's Awesome Fourth-of-July Parade! Just keeps getting better every year!!!

The best roommates in the whole world. These girls are among my best friends. We share a relationship that very few get to experience. I owe these fine ladies everything for one of the best years of my life!

My soon-to-be brother-in-law, Conor, with the Tayden, Dawson, and Elizabeth piled on his back! Call it Thomas family initiation!!!

All the men (but REALLY mostly boys!) in our family. Taken up at East Canyon.

This is our trip to Bear Lake! It was so windy and cold, but we had a great time anyway! Bo and Tayden made the coolest sand art, and Tayden helped while being extra cautious with his "safety goggles"! He is just about the coolest kid I know! There is something wonderful about watching your own children play and use their imagination. It takes me back to hundreds of adventures I used to have. In a way I would hope that he never outgrew this stage, but that would result in a 40 year old who lived with his parents and still thought he could fly! I guess I'll just have to take alot of pictures to remember!!!

Grandma Persy's House

Me and the boys went to my Grandma Persy's house for a little visit. The boys got very spoiled. Tayden climbed into the port-a-crib with Ryker one of the nights! He is such a good brother. The boys were really good and already miss Grandma Persy!!!

Crazy Game Night!

Our friends, Kurt, Debbie, Jake, and Kelly came over to play games. It was really fun to hang out with everyone! We really miss Jake and Kelly since they moved to Iowa. Luckily, we have Kurt and Deb here to annoy!!!

I am trying to drink my whole glass upside down! Bo stopped recording right before pop came out my nose! Thank goodness!!! Quelf is one of the funnest and craziest games out there! I love to play it. It seems like you laugh the entire time.

Dart Champion!

Our boy is a natural! Bo thought he would entertain Tayden with a game of darts the other day. They played to 200 and Tayden CRUSHED Bo!!! The best thing is Bo was really trying! Tayden got a few lucky hits, and Bo was history. I was thrilled, because Bo had just got done crushing me!

Candy Poker

This is the life-Candy and Cards!!!

We went to our friends, Scott and Jen's, for candy poker! It is such a fun tradition that we do! Especially because I lose all my candy playing and they still share at the end! And I need to mention that they make the BEST burgers on the planet! What a fun night. Thanks Scott and Jen!

Ryker's First Tooth!

It may be hard to see, but it is there! He is finally getting close to the world of good food! His second one has come in since this picture, probably because it took so long for me to get this posted! One of my favorite things is a two-toothed baby!!! Until they bite your finger or something else! Luckily I am not worrying about the something else with his choppers!!! You know what I am talking about!!! Yeah for Ryker!!!

Busy Weekend!

We had a crazy-busy weekend! Bo's brother, Ben, graduated from Weber which was very exciting for him! All of Bo's siblings and parents got to be here for it which was great! First time in 1 1/2 years that they have all been together! Also, Bo got put into a Bishopric!!! He is the second counselor in a student ward bishopric-the 14th Ward! Our heads are spinning because of the huge responsibility, but we are excited for the challenge! Of course I am, because it is not me!!! But Bo is always ready to take on a new adventure! Wish us luck with our new chaotic life and me going to church alone! Trust me, I will need it!

Tayden loving that graduation is OVER!

Me stealing some lovin's from Ryker!

All of Bo's siblings! Yes, Brandy, you will always be the oldest!!!

Ryker sportin' his adorable outfit!

Bo taking a break from his book, I mean intensly watching graduation!

Tayden Marshall aka "Crazy Man"

We got tagged by our good friends, Hollie and Gage!

All about Tayden:

Tayden turned 4 in January. He is rather big for his age and loves to let me know it! He needs me less and less every day, which makes me sad and proud all at the same time! He is always up for a party, and before one ends, he is planning the next! He has a smile that will melt your heart, even when he is in trouble, which saves his bacon ALOT!!! Tayden is the most clever and funny kid. He is figuring out how the world works and makes so many comical connections. Yesterday, he told a "mama" joke to Bo on the tramp. I was inside, but Bo told me later. I mentioned it to Tayden at dinner and he looks at me and said, "How did you hear? I said it VERY quietly! Was the door open?" We laughed and laughed! Who's 4 year old knows mama jokes??? Tayden loves dirt or anything else that sticks to his clothes-the messier the better! He loves watching cartoons with Grandpa Jan, going to gymnastics, playing with friends, teaching Ryker anything, helping Mom, chocolate milk, chips, walking the dogs, reading books, flexing his muscles, back tickles, and TREATS!!! We just love him and plan on staying very busy enjoying his unique ways for many years to come!

We like it Hot, Hot, Hot!

Tayden loves Doritos as much as his mom and dad do! So it was a given when he wanted some when we opened the new bag the other night. The problem is that they were "fiery habenero" flavor. I tried to convince him that he didn't want to try them, but he insisted! So he grabbed one then another, and another!!! He ate about 10 chips! I couldn't believe it! Then he looked up at me and said, "I think I need a drink now"! His Papa Jan was so proud to hear that Tayden likes the heat!
